It was our last day of first grade. We had a fun day of playing games, reading a book and “promoting” to second grade. I got to open some very generous gifts and may even have cried a few happy tears. Oh, and we had a hug line too! Have a great summer!

Today was our last full day together for the school year and it was beach day! Our challenge today was to build a sandpaper castle. We enjoyed reading on our beach towels and having popsicles on our large beach blanket!

Our class camping day was fun. We made camp lanterns and then had a design challenge to create a campfire using brown paper and red and orange tissue paper. I was impressed. Kids enjoyed mini s’mores for snack. In the afternoon, we got to have an all school recess celebration.
