I love to read - day 3 Wacky Wednesday

Today was Wacky Wednesday. We had crazy hair day. 

We also had a guest reader. 

Then we got to Rock and read

February 26 & 27

We love reading and are celebrating this week using Dr. Seuss books. 

On Monday, we read Fox in Socks, wore crazy or mismatched socks and had a barefoot morning meeting. Then we decorated some socks for the fox. They are displayed in the hallway.

We also read The Foot book and then made our own version by tracing and measuring our feet. 

Mrs. Smith made us some fun and yummy green eggs. 

We also stopped everything to read. 

Ice cream celebration and celebration of learning

We enjoyed an ice cream treat as our celebration for filling our button jar. It was yummy! 

Then our class sang two songs at the assembly. Their voices sounded beautiful! We couldn’t be prouder! Nicely done!

We filled our button jar again. We got to exchange it for a large paw print!

February 14,2018

For math today, we practiced fact families using hearts that were hiding around the classroom. 

Our favorite activity of the day was to pass out our valentines for our classmates. We got so many great cards and a lot of candy! 

This afternoon we sorted and graphed conversation hearts. Then we did a science experiment to see if conversation hearts will sink or float in water, soda and vinegar. We left them overnight to see what happens.
